Studio Portrait Session

Portrait Photography Manchester

Great time in the studio with this gentelmen. It was really spontanious shoot, originally he didn’t want to do it but he ended up in fron of the camera 😉 Typically for every guy in front of the camera the beginning was bit shy but after quick warmup everything went smoothly.

By the end he was really glad he did it. I’m so happy with the results, the pics turned out great.

Let me quickly explain lighting setup; fairly simple but interesting setup.

The shoot was done in our studio, on the paper background. in this case I used dark navy blue as it was going to be black and white from the beggining. As a main light I used 60cm Beuty Dish with little fill fron the reflector. Additionally I had two Stripboxes on either side. This allowed me to bring some details on both sides of the face and added bit of the feel to the shoot. Have a look at the pics below and let me know what you think.

This time I had real tuff guy in the studio. I had an oportunity to photograph sportsman, local bodybuilder whi achieved quite a bit recently.

He debiuted this year at the NAC Middleton Arena finishing at 1st place. They he was qualified to participate in Mr Universe 2019 in Hamburg finishing within 1st 10. Really proud of him, you need ton of self discipline and hard work to get to this point. I already know his plans and he has massive amount of work ahead. Keep going!

I can’t wait for his new challenges 🙂

Another creative day in the studio, we’ve been planning this session for a while and finally we got to do it. Typical corporate shoot for somebody who liked to improove their online presence. The easies way to do it is by getting some nice portraits done. Confidence, smile and open approach always pays off.

Let me quickly explain lighting setup; fairly simple but interesting setup.

The shoot was done in our studio, on the paper background. in this case I used dark gray as I think it looks much better on dhe darker background. As a main light I used 175cm octa with little fill from the reflector. This allowed me to bring some details on both sides of the face and added bit of the feel to the shoot. As a lens I used my prime Sigma Art 50mm f1/1.4 which never lets me down. Ocassionally I go for Nikon 85mm f1/1.8 but in this case I think the lens selection was correct. As a camera body I use my trusted Nikon D800. Great piece of kit and works amazing in the studio. Have a look at the pics below and let me know what you think.

I met this lovely lady when she aproached me about doing some pictures for her website. She knows hoe important this is to get people to create bond when seeing your pics. You can make good first impression only once so make sure you do it the right way. She looks amazing and we were both really happy with the results.

Let me quickly explain lighting setup; fairly simple but interesting setup.

The shoot was done in our studio, on the paper background. in this case I used dark gray aswell as white. She wated to have both options because we weren’t sure about final tonality on her website. Everyone starts to understand the importance of this. It amkes such a big difference when you present professional images on your website.
